Could Chopping the Price of Produce Save Lives?

March 3, 2016 — We all know a diet filled with fruits and vegetables is good for us. And if you keep up on hunger news, you know that good nutrition is hard for food-insecure Americans to come by. But is food access a matter of life and death?

Researchers from Imperial College and Tufts University say it is. They even put a number on it: Reduce the price of produce by 30%, save 200,000 lives over 15 years.
